Construction of the new Manuka Media Centre has begun and will be completed in time for Canberra’s first International Cricket Test Match from 1 – 5 February 2019.
In September 2017, Kane Constructions were awarded the contract to deliver this state of the art facility and it will assist in bringing more world class sport to the ACT.
The four level, 1500m2 media and broadcast facility will be a multi-purpose building that meets the Cricket Australia media standards for test match cricket and will also support the AFL fixtures.
The facility will provide additional covered outdoor seating, along with bar and kitchen support facilities, indoor corporate seating and function space. The lounge area of level two will be made available for venue hire throughout the year.
This project will be completed in the third quarter of 2018.
